Southampton fans will probably know that Harrison Reed is now back at Staplewood for treatment and recovery after he ended his loan spell with Blackburn Rovers early following injury.

Injury Ends Popular Southampton Man’s Season – “Frustrating For Him & Us”

Our 24-year-old Academy graduate made 14 starting appearances for Tony Mowbray’s side after making the switch, and he was called on 16 times from the substitutes bench as well – contributing three goals and five assists.

Mowbray has spoken incredibly highly about Reed’s efforts during his time with them and he backed him to have an impact under manager Ralph Hasenhuttl next season recently.

Blackburn Rovers fans certainly seem to agree with Mowbray’s thoughts about his performances for them as in Tuesday’s saintsfc End of Season Awards event, Reed was named as their Newcomer of the Year winner, and he also finished in second place in their Goal of the Season Award.

Not a bad loan spell at all and he should be relishing the opportunity to impress Hasenhuttl when pre-season training comes around.
