“A Few Options” – Hasenhuttl Fully Expects 25 y/o To Move On With Interest Bubbling Away

|

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has confirmed that he still expects 25-year-old wantaway midfield Mario Lemina to complete a permanent transfer away from the club before the European window closes at the end of the month.

The Curious Case Of Mario Lemina Continues As Premier League Club Distance Themselves

It’s long been known that the player was off given his own words, but with him originally wanting to secure a move further up the Premier League table, that hope came to nothing as no deal was agreed despite the endless speculation of clubs supposedly being interested in him.

Europe remains an option though and speaking to Sky Sports this week, our Austrian gaffer confirmed that Lemina had options available to him.

“He’s one of the guys likely to leave. There are a few options for him and it’s especially important that this personality is coming to a clear finish. We will have a look what happens but it is an option that he leaves us in this transfer period.”

Fingers crossed over the next week and a bit he’s not the only player we can jettison, freeing up what you would hope was a decent chunk for Hasenhuttl to play with come January as he continues to rebuild the club based on how he wants to play.
