Nigel Adkins has said we fully deserved to secure promotion today after the season we have had and the effort the players put in.
Speaking to saintsfc after the 4-0 win secured us second place, the manager said.
‘It is special what we have gone and achieved. I believe that we play good football, we have a good infrastructure here and have very professional players. Everyone sticks together and drives each other forward so I am delighted.’
Adkins admits disappointment at not taking the title saying he was gutted to lose first place to Reading, but the key was getting back in the Premier League and that’s all we should be thinking about really.
