Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has shown already in a very short time that he is going to be a star in the very near future.

Whilst we have the manager telling us that we have to be careful with our 17 year old young prodigy, the fans are looking forward to seeing much more of him.

His impact on the team is phenominal. He has pace and no shortage of skill, and has the added bonus of being young and fearless.

He is prepared to take on opponents and can put in some great crosses which will add to the scoring potential of our strikeforce.

He has been called up into the England Under 18 squad and could follow his dad Mark into the England team in the future.

Nigel Adkins says we need to protect him from too much publicity and tries to play him down but is finding it ever more difficult.

Last night Alex kick started our win with the first two goals as we won 4-0. He also had a major part in making the fourth goal for Jose Fonte.

The lad is strong and will get stronger and could end up as a central striker with his pace frightening the opposition as well as boosting our options.

When the manager says that Alex is a joy to watch you have to believe that the future is bright.

Alex has had a fantastic start to his career and if he continues to improve it at his current rate it will be impossible to keep him out of the media attention.
