Southampton gaffer George Burley is still confident that Southampton can win promotion this season.
A third straight away defeat for Saints has left them out side of the playoffs for the first time in 2007.
Saints now have two home games in a week to try and turn the form around and start competing for a playoff spot again.
First up at SMS, is Cardiff tomorrow night, followed by Colchester on Saturday.
Burley told the official site: ‘With two wins we could be right up there so we have certainly not given up hope of the play-offs.
‘It is a very tight league and I still believe the race will go right to the wire. We have to be positive, knuckle down and put some wins together.’
