Southampton’s pre-season build-up for the coming 2018/19 season are starting to take shape with the confirmation of five friendlies now set in the calendar.
Southampton’s schedule so far sees us head to China for a training camp. Whilst out there we face FC Schalke 04 on Thursday, July 5 with the game kicking off at 12.30pm. The game takes place at the Kunsham Stadium.
Our two-week visit sees us also face Jiangsu Suning on Wednesday, July 11 with a 12.30pm kick-off. The games takes place at the Xuzhou Olympic Sports Centre Stadium and is the second match of our Club Super Cup participation.
Returning to England, we have then arranged a visit to Pride Park to face Derby County. That game takes place on Saturday, July 21 and carries a 3pm kick-off.
Two friendlies have also been arranged for St Mary’s Stadium this summer.
We host Celta Vigo on Wednesday, August 1 for a 7.45pm kick-off, and the second home soil match takes place on Saturday, August 4 at 3pm. This match sees us face off against Borussia Monchengladbach.
The two home friendlies are free entry for season ticket holders this season.
