Arsenal secured Memorial Cup victory status last night after helping themselves to 4 points with a victory over Anderlecht and a draw against Saints. We finished third with a total of 2 points in the tournament.


The first game saw Anderlecht beat us 1-0.


Saints:


Davis, Richardson, Fonte, Hooiveld, Shaw, Guly, Chambers, Lallana, Schneiderlin, Sharp, Lambert.


Anderlecht:


Proto, Odoi, Deschacht, Wasilewski, Safari, Biglia, Praet, Kanu, Gillet, De Sutter, Reynaldo.


Goalscorer – De Sutter.


The second game saw Arsenal record a 1-0 victory over Anderlecht with Henri Lansbury grabbing the winner.


In the third game we had it all to do, and although we won the penalty shootout 5-4, we drew in the game proper 1-1.


Whilst the overall performance and finishing third might be disappointing, there were plenty of positives however as Dan Seaborne made a return to action and new signing Jay Rodriguez found his shooting boots on his debut for the club.
