Manager Ronald Koeman was pleased for a variety of reasons at full time on Saturday against Manchester United.

Heading to Old Trafford for the game, a debut goal from recent capture Charlie Austin saw Southampton help themselves to all three points against Louis van Gaal’s side and having limited the hosts to only one registered effort on goal, many will say it was another poor performance from the Red Devils and others would say it was a superb performance from Southampton to make them look that bad.

Speaking to the media after the game, that was Koeman’s outlook as he credited the performance of the entire team across the 90 minutes for securing victory.

Goalscorer Austin was also interviewed after the game and he knew he couldn’t have started life at Southampton much better really.
