Southampton’s Premier League season continued with a three-nil win against West Brom at the St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday.

Are Southampton back on track? A midweek win over Watford was followed up with another as new arrival from QPR, Charlie Austin, looked as the Saints convincing won against West Brom.

It took only five-minutes for James Ward-Prowse to curl home from 25-yard to open the scoring with a freekick with him added the second before half time from the penalty spot.

20-minutes from time Dusan Tadic made sure of the win as he finished off a Matt Targett (who had seen an effort cleared off the line by James McClean) pass to see Southampton up to 10th as the Saints look to continue the forward momentum many would have thought would happen after the four-nil win over Arsenal over Christmas.

These were the other results.

Saturday 16th January 2016
Tottenham 4-1 Sunderland
Bournemouth 3-0 Norwich
Chelsea 3-3 Everton
Man City 4-0 Crystal Palace
Newcastle 2-1 West Ham
Southampton 3-0 West Brom
Aston Villa 1-1 Leicester

These games are to be played.

Sunday 17th January 2016
Liverpool v Man Utd 14:05
Stoke v Arsenal 16:15

Monday 18th January 2016
Swansea v Watford 20:00

Looking at the other results we see Tottenham got back to winning ways with a convincing win over Sunderland, who see their relegation fears increased whereas Spurs’ own top four hopes (title hopes even) were given a boost with a convincing four-one win at White Hart Lane.

At the wrong end of the table Bournemouth helped their survival hopes, at the same time denting Norwich’s own, with a three-nil win at Dean Court with Newcastle claiming a two-one win at St James’ Park against West Ham to move out of the bottom three but Aston Villa remain rock bottom but collected a potentially important point from a one-one draw with Leicester, who missed a chance to stamp a mark on their title credentials with a one-one draw at Villa Park.

Man City’s own title hope were very much back on track with a four-nil thrashing of Crystal Palace, who have struggled of late, at the Etihad Stadium.

Who was the Southampton MotM in this game? That’s what the latest poll is asking so do cast a vote.
