TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR have pulled out of the race to sign Southampton youngster Gareth Bale.

According to many newspaper reports, Spurs have had an £8 million move for Bale rejected by Saints and they have now focused their efforts on Manchester United left back Gabriel Heinze.

But Manchester United will not sell the Argentine until they have secured the services of Gareth Bale (Daily Mail).
