Just over 48 hours before our first Playoff game, left back Gareth Bale has been linked with a move away from SMS.

The Mirror reports that Bale will join either Spuds, Manchester United or Arsenal for £9 million.

The report failed to mention that WHEN Southampton win the playoffs, Bale will be going nowhere.

  • ive seen him a few times but u lot will know more than most is he worth this price tag??

  • They forgot this bit….[The report failed to mention that WHEN Southampton win the playoffs, Bale will be going nowhere] thats becasue the Baggies are coming back up!

  • Bearing in mind how much the gooners paid for Walcott, and he has been very quite, and seems not even to be the best of their youngsters.

  • how can 9 mil be too much for spurs when a confirmed 10m bid was on the table in jan. All the new money generated from SKY this summer is gonna see everyone spending silly money. Get ready for the craziest merry-go-round yet!

  • sorry he is a gooner? how do u know that? and why would that matter if he supported them? defoes hero is ian wright shall we chuck him out too?

  • I personally wouldn’t want him at the Emirates. Clichy has been on fire since he has been fit and playing regular football. Top player though. Spuds need a left back more than Arsenal or Manchester United.

  • From what i have seen of him he is good and i agree with fergie that he will be a midfielder more than a full back, so either way spurs could use him. But i have not seen him really tested defensively so only time will tell

  • Not too sure if Wenger actually wants him. He didn’t bid in January when he knew both spurs & man utd were in for him, but at the same time he did say he was happy he hadn’t moved because that gave us an opportunity in the summer. Wenger also sees him as a winger more than a defender or so he said back in jan. I just think we need other players more than we need another youngster who is good, but unproven at the top level.

  • Dunno why you wanna write about this now..Saints need to concentrate on play offs first, we can think about player transfers when we know what division we’ll be in next season.
