WALES manager John Toshack believes that Gareth Bale was right to stick with Southampton.
Bale reportedly turned down a move to Tottenham Hotspur to remain at Saints but the Wales boss thinks he was right.
Toshack told the press: ‘For someone so young, it’s not easy to make such decisions and it’s better to stick rather than twist.
‘He’s still very, very young and getting regular football at Southampton and they may well get into the Premiership this season.’
