Plenty of Southampton fans have been reacting to reports that defender Kyle Walker-Peters is confident of making a permanent switch to St Mary’s from Tottenham Hotspur.
According to the Evening Standard, the 23-year-old right-back is confident that he will be able to sign a long-term contract on the South Coast after joining on loan from the North London outfit in January.
The same publication previously said that Jose Mourinho’s side are keen on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and would like to include Walker-Peters in a discounted deal.
Will Kyle Walker-Peters join Southampton permanently?

Since his move to Southampton, Walker-Peters has started six matches and made three appearances from off the bench (as per Whoscored) and has not had much time to bed in.
With this in mind, supporters applauded the news regarding the Englishman and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that this was the “best news”, while another was delighted and described him as a “top player”.
