Southampton’s Sofiane Boufal has won the Premier League Goal of the Month campaign for October.

The playmaker’s strike against West Bromwich Albion as we hosted Tony Pulis’ side at St Mary’s Stadium saw him travel three quarters of the pitch before finding the bottom corner of the goal, and he came top of the list in the fan led vote for last month.

Competition for October’s award included Philippe Coutinho, Raheem Sterling, Fernandinho, Leroy Sane, Andre Ayew and Jamie Vardy.

Speaking to the Premier 24 year old Boufal described it as ‘the best goal’ of his career to date.

‘It was a good goal and I am so happy to win this trophy. It`s my best goal. My preference is a mazy run; it`s more fun.’
