Saints gaffer George Burley has called for a disciplined and defensive strong performance against Preston tonight.
Both sides are in the promotion hunt, with Southampton currently better placed.
Burley told the Echo: ‘Those that keep their discipline stand a better chance of going up.’
‘We have scored plenty of goals away from home, but we’ve also conceded some – so we have to be tighter at the back’
