SAINTS gaffer George Burley is still hopeful that the can bring in a couple of new faces on loan.

Last week Radio Solent reported that Michael Wilde had told them that 2 new players would be joining the club ‘imminently’ but as yet, no new players have been announced.

Burley told the official site: ‘We have been desperate in the last week or so to add to the squad. we have spoken to a few clubs but with no success as yet.

‘There is no doubt we would like to add a couple of loan players and that is something we will keep working at.

  • Dont you just hate it when that happens, at Villa season in season out our last Chairman used to say we are in discussion and new players are coming, no one ever did though. Bad time to be trying to bring players in.
