Burley’s Reaction

Burley said ‘Football can be a strange game. In past matches we have been much the better of the two sides creating many chances but failing to finish teams off. Today we did finish our chances against a very good Wolves side, so to do that with so many players out injured is a real tribute to the players that did play.’

‘We were without eight first team regulars. We all sat down and spoke beforehand and we knew that we had to all stick together if we wanted to get back into the top six which is where we have been almost all season.’ Burley said. ‘I had to drag Martin Cranie off the Yeovil team bus yesterday so that we had 16 players!’

Burley continued ‘All the boys showed character and produced a very good win. The keeper, Bartosz, is only 19 but he was great today and Marek’s finishing was tremendous. We still have work to do if we want to get back into the top six but we are right back in the hunt.’
