James Ward-Prowse was the hero for Southampton on Saturday night as his well-placed free-kick secured a hard-fought comeback for Southampton as they won 2-1 against fellow relegation side, Watford.
Southampton trailed one-nil for most of the match as Ismaila Sarr scored for the Hornets after 24 minutes, but two goals within five second-half minutes from Danny Ings and Ward-Prowse were enough for the Saints to gain three important points.
Ward-Prowse is a renowned set-piece specialist and he certainly delivered in this match, much to the delight of expectant Saints fans.

One fan expressed their joy at seeing Ward-Prowse’s free-kick but also explained how the young English midfielder needs to add more to his game to truly fulfil his potential as a top player.
JPW . What can I say . He can do things like that . Wow . One bit of his game that needs to be a bit better is stop giving the ball away. Hes not the only one. But sort that out and think of the player he could be ? But dead ball top class.

Several fans also saw the relief and passion in Jan Bednarek’s face as Ward-Prowse’s strike hit the back of the net.
I love this. The look on Bednareks face when he realises its gone in is priceless 😂
