Southampton Academy graduate James Ward-Prowse has had a mixed time of it of late, but following the arrival of Austrian manager Ralph Hasenhuttl, he’s certainly found a new lease of life.
With Hasenhuttl admitting the two had sat down and spoken previously in an effort to get more from the 24-year-old, whatever was said, worked and JWP has become a key player for us since then – refinding his goalscoring touch to notch up five goals since the turn of 2019.
With one of those goals coming in the disappointing defeat to Manchester United last weekend, there’s now strong talk that JWP may have worked his way back into England manager Gareth Southgate’s thoughts.
Whatever happens on that front, he’s again proving key to us as we look to successfully battle against relegation in the Premier League campaign of 2018/19 and fans on social media were certainly appreciative of his efforts at Old Trafford.
