With Southampton announcing earlier in the week that we had completed the long speculated capture of Standard Liege attacker Moussa Djenepo, plenty of fans have been excited with the deal as manager Ralph Hasenhuttl looks to strengthen the first team group so we can start heading in the right direction again int he Premier League.
The 20-year-old winger has arrived at St Mary’s for a reported £22million fee and he’s certainly highly rated.
It’s not unknown for players to take to social media to give their goodbyes to their former club and fans, whilst also beginning the process of ingratiating themselves with their new fanbase, but Djenepo’s message late on during Thursday evening showed some fantastic maturity for me.
It wasn’t easy to leave the Rouche, they are special and will always remain a part of my family.
But I’m very happy to join the @SouthamptonFC family. Feels great to become a Saint! Can’t wait to get started!#SaintsFC pic.twitter.com/XUWcidEbJU

His Tweet received a great response from both Liege fans as well as Southampton fans, and club President Bruno Venanzi was quick to send his own good wishes which was appreciated by plenty.
Good luck my friend : you deserve it!
