Clyne Rues Saints Loss

Clyne felt the team would have been worthy of at least a draw in North London, but conceded that despite controlling Gareth Bale for much of the game, the Spurs man proved why he has won so many Player of the Year awards this season, by popping up with an 86th minute winner.

“That`s what world class players do,” Nathaniel told Saints Player. “Even when they`re not playing their best they can still get something off you and just score.

“We started off the game ever-so-well,” the full-back recalled. “We created chances, we came at them and although it was away from home we still had a good go at it, so it`s disappointing that we let them score near the last minute.

Nathaniel went on to say how well he thought Saints had done and how the only shot on target Saints allowed Spurs had to be the one Bale had.

He went on to say thjat he thinks if we play the way we did at Spurs for the last two games we will be ok.

I for one will be praying that he is right.
