Jack Cork has joined Championship rivals Watford on loan.

Cork, who has played 25 times this season for the Saints, has excelled in a red and white shirt.

On loan from Chelsea, the 19 year old has decided the leave the Saints and join fellow Championship strugglers Watford.

Cork’s loan ran out on December 31st, and the versatile player assessed his options and chose to join up with ex-Chelsea reserve coach – Brendan Rodgers. Rodgers took over the Hornets a few months ago and his involvement with Watford has certainly swayed Cork’s mind to leave St. Mary’s.

  • came as a bit of a shock to us as well, but I guess he knew brendan and had no qualms about going to Vicarage Road!

  • He is a top player. I don’t think he has missed a game for us this season and he has looked a different class compared to our other defenrders. He can also play in defensive midfield which is another strength. He’s only 19 and he’s definately going places.
