Andy Crosby was delighted with the professionalism of the Saints side against Sheff Wed last night, and he was pleased to see the players stick perfectly with the gameplan.

Speaking to saintsfc after the 2-0 victory, our assistant manager said of the performance.

‘I think the way we set about the game made it a comfortable night. I thought we were excellent in the first half and moved the ball about well. We controlled long periods of the game. At half time the main thing we were saying was ‘can we improve our quality in the final third?’

Crosby also had special praise for the goalscoring hero of the night.

‘He has a massive impact. I thought his movement was excellent tonight. He is one of many players who took their opportunities tonight. He has had to bide his time, but he has been a great character around the place and he wants to improve.’
