Football is a subjective sport. One fan’s opinion on the best player in the world can easily change from person to person, and the same case goes for derbies, and Danny Mills’ has managed to ruffle some feathers.
“You think of derbies in Glasgow, Istanbul, Rome… Hampshire? No.”
“It doesn’t stand out as the nastiest!”
“Where on the list of big derbies does this come? It’s page 7 or 8 for me.”

The talkSPORT pundit claimed that the South Coast Derby, which takes place tonight, doesn’t hold a candle to some of the other high-profile rivalries in the country, naming ties such as Wolves – West Brom as bigger occasions than Southampton – Portsmouth.
Of course, plenty of Saints fans took issue with this assumption and took to Twitter to criticise the former Premier League defender on social media.
Here is what some Southampton fans had to say on Twitter…
Of course it's not the biggest. It's probably not the fiercest on the pitch either. But off it, I can assure you it's up there. It's an ugly, despicable 24 hours in and around the hosts home ground. Nothing touches Rangers/Celtic but Saints/P*mpey, don't be so naive Mills

Nobody compares it to the biggest in europe what is he chatting? In england it's in the top ten easily.

Just because he has nothing to do with either team doesn’t mean they don’t exist… How self-important can you get?

He's wrong and as per usual he's got no idea. There's pure hatred there that goes back years to when the docks were the focal point of both cities. He's not played in one, he's never been to one, he's not entitled to an opinion one. #ElClasicoast
