With Southampton rounding off a good week of training out in our Austrian training camp with a reasonable 90 minute clash against SCR Altach, summer signing Che Adams definitely took his opportunity to impress the fans on his non-competitive debut as he found the back of the net with the opening two minutes of the game.
Adams could’ve arguably had a couple more in his first run out for the club, but especially at this early stage of pre-season, manager Ralph Hasenhuttl would’ve been delighred with his impact in the 1-1 draw, especially as he got a solid 45 minutes into 22 players in the game.
With Altach being on the verge of kicking their season off for real, it certainly wasn’t an easy game but that’s exactly how we’d have wanted it, but fans were certainly delighted to see Adams get off the mark so quickly as big things are expected from him following his £15million switch from Birmingham City.
The first of many I hope!

I think we have a real star in @CheAdams_ – when I saw his goal reel nearly ALL his goals, like this one, are along the ground – now go watch Thierry Henry's goals – sooo many along the ground – exciting season ahead

He has done more in 2 minutes than Charlie Austin has done in 2 seasons ????
