The transfer window is approaching its final few days, and business between Premier League clubs has been quiet for the most part, but Leicester City could be about to make an unusual signing at Southampton’s expense.

The Sun report that the Foxes are set to launch a £15m bid for the Jannik Vestergaard, who has found himself out of the first-team picture under Ralph Hasenhuttl as stats from Transfermarkt show, with the Danish defender linked with a move away from the south coast side this transfer window according to Sky Sports News in late December.
Is this the most important transfer window in recent years?
Yes, we need fresh faces
No, we've experienced worse
Vestergaard has hardly featured since Southampton’s resurgence in the Premier League, and plenty of Saints supporters on social media couldn’t believe a top side like Leicester were willing to pay for the 27-year-old centre-back’s services in what has been a poor season for the defender.
Here’s what lots of Southampton fans had to say on Twitter about Leicester’s reported bid…
Got to be a wind up

Vestergaard made his first league start of 2020 this week against Crystal Palace, filling in for the injured Jan Bednarek.
