With news reports in the last few days suggesting that former Southampton Academy graduate Adam Lallana had accepted his time was now up at Liverpool and would prefer a return to St Mary’s Stadium to get his career back on track, it was always going to provoke a polarising set of opinions from the fanbase.
With the 31-year-old leaving on less than ideal circumstances with his words and the speculation about his behaviour on securing the move to Anfield being taken to heart by some, his subsequent apology saw splits form between those who could never forgive him, and those that could.

Former Saints Star Wants To Return Home According To Report – This’ll Cause A Stir
With 34 caps to his name for England and 265 appearances in our shirt, it was never going to take long for the news to hit social media and spark some thoughts, but it also seems that the main bone of concern are his fitness levels given the problems he’s had – as opposed to his actual history here.

I would have him back for £10m and wages based on appearances way too injury prone to be spending too much.

In a heartbeat. Missing that real creative midfielder since Tadic left. In the circumstances, don’t care how he left etc. We need a spark in the heart of the midfield

I personally can’t forgive him but a great buy for saints if it happens at that price.
