Even the most optimistic of Southampton fans would not have banked on Sofiane Boufal flourishing into the player he has become this season

The Moroccan international has been one of Southampton’s most important players this season, with the winger featuring in all but one of the Saint’s Premier League fixtures this year and assisting twice along the way as numbers from Transfermarkt show.
Indeed, the former Lille star has been a wonderful surprise for supporters this season, and in a recent interview with Southampton’s official website, Boufal expressed his love for the club as well as the Saints fans, a quote that went down well with the club faithful who have been impressed to no end with the attacker’s contributions this season.
And with Boufal praising the club and its fans in the interview, supporters took to social media to return the love back to the attacker, who has a case of being the Saint’s best-performing player this season.

Despite Boufal’s impressive season, the winger hasn’t managed to help Southampton start the season strongly with the Saints currently sitting in 17th place in the Premier League table.
