Speculation linking Southampton’s Dutch midfielder Jordy Clasie with a return to Holland and former club Feyenoord has been pretty strong this last week on the rumour mill and we’ve covered it previously on here.
#SaintsFC midfielder @JordyClasie has today completed a season-long loan move to #Feyenoord. Full details: https://t.co/t8zCmvMUID

Having come in from Feyenoord in the summer of 2015, the 27-year-old international has made 42 starting appearances for us in the years since, with an additional seven showings from the bench. Those games saw him contribute two goals but it’s fair to say his time at St Mary’s Stadium hasn’t been what many thought it would be following his £8million arrival.
Struggles settling in, a lack of game time, issues with consistency can all be blamed – but plenty of fans have seen what he’s capable of in flashes and hopes were high that under manager Mark Hughes this year he’d really get himself going after last seasons spell out on loan with Club Brugge.
That won’t be the case though as the club have confirmed he has completed a season-long loan return to the Eredivisie and Feyenoord.
Good luck @JordyClasie have a brilliant season out there!!!! ????⚪❤⚪????

Who are fans going to turn to next to pick on? Still amazes me people can’t support our players but have to moan none stop. He’s a good player who’s not fitted in, doesn’t deserve the abuse people give him. No wonder he wants to get away

Feyenoord hasn't got the money for it to buy him.

Good luck Jordy, shame you never had the chance to really show what you could do. All the best for the season ahead

Was never going to get a look in with us so a good deal overall with the choice of midfield we have. But all the best to Clasie and good luck ????
