Rickie Lambert has hailed the impact of Gaston Ramirez in today’s game, describing him as ‘something special’.
Speaking to saintsfc following the win, Lambert said of Ramirez.
‘He’s some player isn’t it? He’s something special, and I thought that he, Ads and Puncheon made my job much easier today. Any team when a player like Gaston comes in is just going to be improved. He was excellent today.’
As for the game itself, Lambert added.
‘It was a great feeling to get the three points. We equilised and then I think we just went up a few gears and I thought we could have scored more. All credit to the boys.’
