It’s fair to say plenty of Southampton fans weren’t that enamoured with our summer transfer business, not least a few of the players we allowed out on loan as they more than believed that they could do a job for us in the Premier League in 2018/19. One such man headed to Blackburn Rovers for the season and Harrison Reed continues to make friends with his performances at Ewood Park.
The 23-year-old is highly rated at Southampton and is one of a number of our homegrown talents and having impressed last season whilst on loan out at Norwich City he again headed to the Championship late on in August and he’s now taken in five appearances for Blackburn, returning one goal.
Having hosted Nottingham Forest last weekend and taken a point from the game, Rovers fans were quick to take to social media to praise the performance of the midfielder once again.
In other news… Harrison Reed was hands down my Man of the Match today

Amidst the frustration of today’s awful refereeing performance, I feel it’s worth a mention that Harrison Reed was absolutely outstanding again.
He got stuck into tackles, played some good passes and was a general pest throughout.
My MOTM today by an absolute mile!#Rovers

Reed is like a little terrier he never stops, forget this Graham's getting old because his fitness level is high & is excellent upfront, as for Armstrong's goal what a finish, shame we was robbed with a blatant dive #Rovers

He was good today Jen. Our stand out performer. I’ve really liked the look of him since we signed him. #quality

Another goal, another assist, but still I don't make Bradley Dack #Rovers' star man. Step forward Harrison Reed https://t.co/ONlnO9Dapp
