Lloyd Isgrove has extended his spell out at Oakwell with Barnsley and Sam McQueen has headed to Southend United for a loan spell.

23 year old Isgrove moved to Lee Johnson’s side late on in October and across his 13 appearances for the side, he’s helped them move away from the dropzone – earning himself man of the match awards for games against Blackpool and Fleetwood Town.

The extension is until the end of the season and it could be an opportunity for Isgrove to take in a second Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final as Barnsley are still in the hunt for that with a second leg Area Final to come.

Fellow winger, but 20 year old McQueen made his first team debut back in the FA Cup in February 2014 as a substitute against Sunderland, and this year he has nine starts for Martin Hunter’s U21 side – four goals as a return – and his loan to Phil Brown’s Roots Hall outfit will be his first taste of Football League football.
