Jack Cork has said the new system is hard work, but it’s clear we are reaping the rewards of it.

Speaking to Sky Sports Cork commented.

‘It does feel like you need two hearts to play like that. It’s hard work but you can see the result and hopefully we can keep that standard going, we can hopefully do that every week. The last few games under the new gaffer we’ve been playing some really good stuff.’

Jack adds that with the confidence we can take from the Man City game, he sees no reason why we really can’t kick on now and really start pushing up the table.

The question has already been raised on the forum as to whether burn out could now be an issue with how hard the players are running during games, but that style and commitment just means they need to be well managed in training and given suitable recovery time, and their own fitness levels will improve naturally as a result anyway.

We’ve got the squad, so if it’s used sensibly, it really shouldn’t be an issue to be honest.
