Talking to Saints OS Kelvin said that the players had got a positive impression from their first meeting with new gaffer Nigel Adkins.

Talking about the new man Kelvin said he is a talker. ‘He wants the lads to communicate to each other, and by doing that there comes a responsibility.’

Our keeper said that the lads had welcomed Nigel warmly. They were pleased withe who we have got and that now we can settle down to the football only.

Admitting that it can take time for a new manager to come in and sort things, Kelvin also said that the new manager syndrome might help as the players try to impress the new manager.

Kelvin is looking forward to the trip tonight as we have a good record against the Dons. Played four won four last season.

MK Dons have a new manager as well Kelvin acknowledged and they have changed their play slightly. They will also be keen to set the record straight and will be expecting to win.

In fact a home win for them can take them to the top of the league as they have started well this season.

It is good to know that the players respect Nigel and Fish must have had a few questions to ask about him as he was on loan to Scunny season before last when they won the play-offs to get promoted.

The vibes are good and we all want to see the team playing as we know it can as quickly as is possible. Starting tonight hopefully.
