It’s being reported today that with the speculation surrounding Nathaniel Clyne and the long term injury to Fraser Forster that manager Ronald Koeman is interested in potentially doing a double deal for Newcastle defender Daryl Janmaat and goalkeeper Tim Krul.

The speculation is very much the tail wagging the dog here based on Forster’s injury and Clyne ‘hot press’ departure over the summer and it’s said that having sought a move last summer before giving it one more year, Krul will be ready to cut ties this summer.

Janmaat played under Koeman at Feyenoord prior to his move to the Premier League.

I imagine Newcastle will largely look at this speculation the way we now do following last summer’s and this summer’s expected exodus and implosion.
