Manager Ronald Koeman has given his thoughts following defeat to Norwich City in today’s game.

Making the trip to Carrow Road to face off against a side that Koeman said would prove to be a tough test for Southampton, the hosts took victory with a second half goal from Alex Tettey a full three minutes after Victor Wanyama had got himself sent from the field for a double yellow card.

The frustration for Koeman was the day didn’t start well as Sadio Mane found himself once more out of the starting eleven because he turned up late for the team meeting, and with the red card proving the turning point when it came to the result, Southampton were by full time still bossing possession and chances on goal.

Norwich scored with their only accurate attempt.
