Southampton legend Matthew Le Tissier has offered his services to any potential investor in the club.

Southampton’s parent company, Southampton Leisure Holdings, was placed into administration yesterday and the club’s long-term future is under serious threat.

Le Tissier told BBC Radio Solent: “If there are any people out there who are interested and feel I might be able to help out then I’d be delighted.

“If there’s something I can do to help the club in it’s present situation then I’m prepared to do anything it takes.”

Le Tissier has also urged fans to give as much support to the club as they can to help their financial problems.

Similarly, Head Coach Mark Wotte has called on the club’s fans to turn out in force as Charlton visit St Mary’s tomorrow afternoon.

The Saints have slashed ticket prices, and with the club in desperate need of money and support, there is hope that there will be at least 28,000 fans attending the crucial relegation tie with the Addicks.
