Peterborough moved ahead of Carlisle after a Mackail-Smith goal in the first half. Carlisle had some chances but were unable to convert them and drop to 5th in the table with Borough moving up into 2nd place.

Leaders Brighton were held to a draw by lowly Tranmere who levelled late on through Scott wootton. Glen Murray scored the opener and dictated in the first half but Tranmere were unlucky not to win with a powerful display in the second half.

Brentford beat Charlton 2-1 thanks to two first half goals. Alexander opened the scoring on 13 minutes with Diagouraga netting the second on 31 minutes. Charlton pulled one back in the 74th minute with Wagstaff putting the ball into the right corner.

Swindon started well and scored after 50 seconds when Thomas Dossevi looped the ball over the keeper. Dagenham came back into it and goals from Damian Scannell and Bas Savage gave them the points.

Exeter earned a well deserved win over high flyers Rochdale thankls to a goal from Jamie Cureton. Exeter move to within a place of the play-off spots.

Huddersfield missed the chance to move into the play-off spots losing at home to Bristol Rovers. Will Hoskins scored with a great strike from outside the box in the 4th minute of added on time to nick the points.

Colchester took the lead halfway through the first half thanks to an Okuonghae goal. Mk Dons managed to level the scores in the second half thanks to Balanta. The point gained being enough to keep Cplchester in the top six.

Sheffield Wednesday gained their first win after a 5 goal winless streak thanks to goals fromMarcus Tudgay and Darren Potter. County had started the better but the Tudgay goal knocked them and after going down to ten men the late Potter goal sealed the points for Weds.

Oldham dropped two points late on when Leyton Orient scored with a close in strike from Scott McGleish. Oldham had taken the lead through chris Taylor who also scored from close in.

Hatlepool won this game against Plymouth thanks to a long range strike into the top right corner from Leon McSweeney in the 87th minute.

Walsall remain bottom after losing 1-0 at home to Yeovil. Adam Virgo scored the winner on 70 minutes and moves Yeovil away from the bottom four.

Southampton continued their revival with a 2-0 win over high flying Bournemouth. In a power packed display they dominated the game which was won by two Rickie Lambert penalties. The only downside is the failure to score from open play but with another home game to come another display like this will do nicely.
