If there’s one player who Southampton fans respect more for guiding them back to the Premier League, it’s Rickie Lambert.

The now 37-year-old retired striker joined the Saints back when they were in League One in 2009, and five years later the former England international was scoring for the south coast side in the Premier League after three 20+ goal seasons that led Southampton back to the English top-flight as numbers from Transfermarkt show.
Despite being retired, Lambert recently showed that he still has ability left in his locked after scoring a sensational halfway-line goal in a charity match, and Southampton fans on social media were amazed, to say the least.
Here is how some Saints fans reacted to the wonder striker on Twitter…
A Saints legend and a lovely bloke.
