The Premier League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Watford this midweek.

Southampton host Watford on Wednesday January 13 for the game at St Mary’s Stadium and the match carries a 7.45pm kick off.

Referee: Craig Pawson
Linesmen: D Bryan and M Scholes
Fourth Official: K Friend

Match Day referee Pawson (South Yorkshire) has officiated two Southampton games this season – the two all draw with Newcastle back in August and the two nil victory over Bournemouth in November. On those two games he showed nine yellow cards and one red, five yellows and the red to Southampton.

He has however already taken in 21 other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he has handed out a total of 67 yellow cards and one red card.

He was most card happy in the match between Slovan Liberec and Braga in the Europa League on September 17 with a total of seven yellows being shown. He also showed seven yellows in the game between Sunderland and Aston Villa on January 2.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
