Last season we faced the Dons four times winning them all. Three fairly comfortable wins and one close game. This time round we have had three defeats on the spin and morale could be a touch fragile.
The arrival of Nigel Adkins could be just the tonic we need to kick-start our season.
MK Dons captain could return after serving a one match ban received after being sent off at Hartlepool. Danny Woodards ther right back missed the Brighton defeat and is likely to miss out again with a pulled hamstring. Adam Chicksen the youngster who replaced him is likely to play again. Striker Aaron Wibraham and midfielder Stephen Gleeson are also out with injuries.
The skipper is an influential part of the Dons team and his return should give them a lift.
Lee Barnard is absent having one more match to serve from his three match ban. Both Adam Lallana and Frazer Richardson are out still with their longterm injuries.
The arrival of Nigel Adkins could give the motivation needed to get the team firing more than blanks.
Rickie has had a terrible start and has been playing whilst being only 80-85% fit. He claims he ready now so I fully expect a more prominent display.
Overall we have a good record against MK Dons formerly Wimbledon.
Last season was exceptional with 4 wins, 2 at each clubs grounds.
The overall position at theirs is 5 wins for the Dons, 8 wins for Saints and 4 draws.
