Our Frenchman was able to make his comeback through hard work and excellent medical supervision.

Talking on Saints Player he said,’It’s something really special what has happened here in the last couple of years’

Three years ago we were down as a club and looking to be in a very dodgy situation before we were rescued by Markus Liebherr and Nicola Cortese.

Morgan appreciates what has happened since and says that the players and the club are really proud of the turnaround in the club’s fortunes.

For the sell-out finale at St Mary’s the players were able to produce an exhilarating display of attacking football with the occasional open back door.

He admitted that this season was harder than anticipated with most clubs wanting to raise their game against Southampton who were classed as a bigger team.

Debatable in some eyes but that is how the players saw it and comments from some of the beaten managers verifies that thought of line existed.

Some of our fans have been called arrogant, but they only see the game through their own personal rose tinted eyes, and to be fair we have had the largest support number wise in the league this season.

With the support available to us it was always a case of when and not if we would return to a higher level. The expectations of the fans was always there and the players themselves had their own high expectations.

Having been sidelined since March in the reverse match Morgan has watched as the team went on a roll of form which enabled them to overturn the deficit in points and take control of the race for second position.

He thanked the coaches and medical staff for their attention to him and for the way they helped him return in time for the final games. Then he spoke about how the players were already starting to look forward to the chance play in the Championship.

For some it will be the first such experience and for a them it will be a chance to show that they are more than good enough for the next challenge. For others it will be a chance to show how they have improved since joining our club.

Hearing how Morgan talks about next season it gives me the hope that we will be seeing him at the club for a while yet. I have a feeling that our young Frenchman will be more at home in the Championship, and still has improvement left in him.

It was nice to see you back in the team and show us some of your passing skills and we look forward to seeing you doing the business next season. Only thing we would like is to see you bag a few goals to go with your superb midfield skills.
