Premiership underachievers Newcastle United have entered the race to sign teenage full back Gareth Bale.
Newcastle United manager Glenn Roeder told Newcastle Evening Chronicle: ‘I don’t normally talk about specific targets, but if I am spotted at Coventry (Tuesday night) it will be obvious who I am watching, As far as our scouting is concerned, we are now in overdrive for next season.’
