Dany says that he has been made welcome by the first team squad and that he is settling in well.

He is on loan until the end of the season and has said that competition for places could make him a better player.

Talking to the Saints Player he said, ‘I got my first game against manchester United which was good, then I started against Exeter which was a big win. I wanted to score there, but hit the bar and missed a couple of chances.’

‘I didn’t make an appearance last Saturday, but overall I’m pleased. Everybody is pushing for a place at the moment so it’s going to be difficult to get into the team.’

The Frenchman played over 30 games for Leicester last season and spent a month at Sc*nthorpe prior to joining us last month.

One thing I noted in his interview was the fact that he is pleased he is here for the rest of the season. That way he hopes to show Nigel Adkins what he can do.

My mind is working overtime perhaps but I am left wondering whether we have an option to buy if we choose to.

If this is the case then I would be more than happy having seen that Nigel appears to like him.

Whatever the outcome, The addition of competition for places is always a welcome thing.
