Many Southampton fans were not impressed with the performance of striker Che Adams during his side’s 2-2 draw against Manchester United on Monday night.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side kept the pressure on Burnley in 10th as they remain in 12th place, six points behind the Clarets and level with Everton in 11th.

The Saints took the lead through Stuart Armstrong in the first half after capitalising on a mistake from Paul Pogba. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial put the hosts in front in the space of three minutes in the first period.

But Southampton left it late as Michael Obafemi popped in the 96th minute to ensure that a point was taken back to the South Coast.

In what was a frustrating showing from the visitors, there was one player that the fans were particularly unhappy with, and that was Adams.

The £15m forward was substituted in the second half for Shane Long and it’s easy to see why that decision was made.

During the encounter, Adams accumulated a pass success rate of just 53% with only eight accurate passes all game and lost possession 13 times, as per Sofascore.

With this in mind, supporters were not impressed with Adams’ outing and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he was completely “overawed by the occasion”, while another stated that he was “so poor”.
