Manager Mauricio Pochettino has said he feels that both teams were worthy of a share of the spoils in the game against Everton.

Speaking briefly to Sky Sports following the game, Pochettino said that he was happy with our performance over the course of 90 minutes and he feels that there were a lot of positives that can be taken from the game, even though we lost.

‘I think overall the game was a very good game with both teams proposing attacking football, it’s a shame because we leave with nothing and I think we deserved a lot more from this game. Overall the team played very well and there were many phases where we were superior to Everton.’

Of pleasure for the gaffer as well was the younger players involved again today and he’s delighted to see that whatever changes he makes in personnel more than often than not we are retaining our own personality and style of play in matches, especially when it comes to the way we attack and try to take maximum points from matches.

Of course one disappointment from the match was that Everton simply took their chances, whereas we created plenty of chances but just couldn’t put them away so he would like us to be more clinical in future.

No doubt there’ll be far more reaction as the night goes on.
