SOUTHAMPTON striker Grzegorz Rasiak is on target to be Saints leading goalscorer of recent times.

With 18 goals already this season he is already ahead of Peter Crouch’s 16 goals in 2005 and on course to beat Matt Le Tissier’s 25 goal tally in 1993-94 season.

Speaking after Rasiak’s brace against Torquay, Saints gaffer Burley said: ‘Grzegorz is a natural scorer. He’s scored consistently all season and 18 at this time of year is a great record.’

While Torquay manager Lubos Kubik added: ‘Rasiak was everywhere – our young goalkeeper played very well, but made one mistake and Rasiak was there.

‘In the second half they had one good cross and Rasiak was there again.’
