Fresh from the signing of Moussa Djenepo, most Southampton fans are eagerly awaiting manager Ralph Hasenhuttl’s next capture for the club as he continues to rebuild the squad so we can make the end to last season a foundation for future progress.
One new name on the rumour mill over the weekend for me was Troyes versatile attacker Bryan Mbeumo.
The 19-year-old is predominantly a right sided winger from what I can tell, albeit he’s left footed so I assume he’s making a bit of a name for himself by being able to successfully cut in to good effect and in 2018/19 he did contribute 11 goals in 39 matches but Troyes operate at Ligue 2 level out in France.
On Saturday, L’Equipe via SportWitness suggested that we had submitted a firm 7/8million Euro offer for the player, but there is also interest from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg who have also made an offer, as well as Schalke who are simply keeping tabs on him.
Whether anything comes of this one remains to be seen.
