Report Claims Eight Man Southampton Exodus This Summer – Won’t Be A Surprise To Fans

|

Whilst Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has tried to talk down speculation of a busy summer for the club this season as he continues to tweak the side, looking for more than a battle against relegation in the campaign of 2019/20, a recent report stated that the club would be looking to move on at least eight players from the first team group.

Hasenhuttl himself has spoken of making his own money on sales to bolster our chase for his targets as he looks to his first full year in charge, but few fans will be surprised with the names the Mirror listed as being available for sale.

Charlie Austin, Shane Long, Steven Davis, Fraser Forster, Cedric Soares, Mohamed Elyounoussi, Guido Carillo, Sofiane Boufal.

It’s a bit of a lazy report really as our Austrian gaffer has already been quoted talking about the future of a few of those players, Steven Davis is out of contract this summer in any event so he shouldn’t be on the list and if the rumour mill is to be believed, Long has a future under the gaffer given his more recent improvement.

You can certainly imagine five at least would go, as we need to freshen up the group and then we see the calibre of replacements.
