The summer transfer window rumour mill is in full flow for Southampton and manager Ralph Hasenhuttl as he looks to shape the first team group for his first full season in charge at St Mary’s Stadium having achieved his aim of successfully avoiding relegation from the Premier League in the 2018/19 campaign.
There are plenty of links in the media at this moment of time and obviously strikers figure quite highly in that, but a new name for me over the weekend was defender Wilfried Kanon.
The ADO Den Haag centre-half is apparently on our shortlist according to the Sun and we are tracking the 25-year-old Ivory Coast international, but they claim that Newcastle United and Leicester City are also keeping tabs on him and they aren’t alone.
With six years under his belt in the Eredivisie, the speculation suggests that Den Haag are resigned to losing him following his summers’ African Cup of Nations but he does apparently only have a £3million valuation.
Might be an interesting name to watch.
